Manitoba Homecoming

During the week of July 13th, the Library will be hosting a DVD presentation depicting pictures of the Village of Benito and the Swan River Valley. Join us on July 13, 15, 16 and 17 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for cake and ice cream. Come visit and reminise.

Photography Contest

To show the hidden splendors of our valley the library is having a contest to show off your photographic skills.To enter the contest your photograph must be:
-Taken in the Swan River Valley
-Developed or printed in order to be displayed at the library with a strong backing
-Clearly marked with your name and where the photograph was taken
Catagories are:
Nature/Landscape
Animals/Pets
Catch all (Vehicles, buildings, etc. – not including pics of people)
Library will be taking submissions from June 10, 2010 to August 31, 2010
Photos will be on display in the library and showcased at “Our beautiful Valley : in pictures” gallery on Saturday September 18, 2010 in the Multipurpose Room. Prizes to be awarded in each category.
